Well the day started well with the Guernsey Youth Theatre Singers giving their performance of Bohemian Rhapsody, the Kaiser Chiefs' Oh My God and a medley of the Beach Boys' greatest hits.
Up next were US Monster Trucks who got the crowd jumping with a mix of upbeat rock tracks. A mix of great guitar work and added effects from the keyboard really helped to give them that little bit extra.

Remainder 3. |
Remainder 3 gave one of their most memorable performances - even if it was one of their shortest sets - with four of their own tracks blasting across Saumarez Park as the crowd really started to grow.
Lucy and the Allstars are veterans at Summer Wave having performed at the first event in 2004 and Lucy's vocal talent shone through, as you'd expect from a previous winner of the Channel Island Pop Idol Competition.
Now Mid Carson Coalition didn't tone themselves down either musically or physically and they were by far the most active band of the day jumping around the stage and into the pit. Check the pictures out if you want to see for yourself.
Hear from some of the acts as presenters Jim Cathcart and Jack Mabire spoke to them in between acts and also caught up with the Bailiff:
The compere of the day was Brian Dowling, who was a big hit with the crowd and the acts backstage. The Ex Big Brother Contestant who now has a TV career was full of praise for the local bands especially Mid Carson Coalition - he even bought a copy of their album.

Nylon. |
365 looked like a boy band on the up - with catchy tunes and fun and well performed dance moves.
The icelandic pop sensation Nylon were a massive hit with the crowd as their set included not only their new single 'Losing A Friend' but a very impressive a capella (singing without music or backing track) of a traditional icelandic song.
Friday Hill features another former Big Brother star Kenzie and they came on twice in the end performing their own and Blazing Squad tunes.

Simon Webbe. |
Another familiar face was Son of Dork frontman James Bourne formerly of Busted who along with his band mates wowed the crowd with their guitar antics. James also spent a lot of time meeting as many of his fans as he could.
The day ended to the sound of Simon Webbe and his band. The former Blue star's mellow sounds were enjoyed by many as they echoed across the park.
